A report stated that there were 51 South Koreans who previously recovered from COVID-19 but were later re-diagnosed with the illness.

A report by KBS revealed that they will be dispatching a team to the North Gyeongsang Province and to Daegu, two places where most of these "re-diagnosed" cases emerged.

Jeong Eun-kyeong, Director of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC), said that they would still be conducting blood tests, and other processes, to ascertain whether the 51 cases were reactivation or reinfection.

The KCDC Director stated that they believed it's a reactivation as the tests were done shortly after they've been released from quarantine.
