The desire to serve others is clearly in the hearts of the doctors who tested positive for COVID-19 but who are now on their way to recovery.

As per the video on GMA's 24 Oras, the two doctors expressed their desire to return to work and to once more be in the front lines.

According to the doctors, they are merely waiting for the negative test results so that they could be of service again.

One doctor, Dr. Jose Antonio Bautista, a cardiologist from St. Luke's Medical Center, Bonifacio Global City, was infected while taking care of COVID-19 patients.

He initially tested negative, but his second test turned positive, which according to reports may have been because of technical error or a lack of "viral load."

Dr. Bautista experienced fever, muscle pain, and chills.

Another doctor, a surgical resident from the University of Sto. Tomas Hospital reiterated how he initially felt cough and fever and emphasized how he witnessed the difficulties that other frontliners experienced, considering that they too have their own families who worry about them.
