Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) spokesperson Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles announced on April 7 (Tuesday) that the enhanced community quarantine over Luzon has been extended.

KAMI learned that according to Nograles, President Rodrigo Duterte has approved the extension.

In an IATF briefing led by Nograles, he explained that prolonging the community quarantine, along with mass testing and physical distancing will flatten the curve eventually.

"Pagkatapos ng kanyang announcement ay vinerify po namin ulit at ang sagot po ay, ang enhanced community quarantine is hereby extended until 11:59pm of April 30," he said.

However, Nograles said that while they monitor the situation over Visayas and Mindanao, there is no need yet to include it in the enhanced community quarantine.

“Right now, wala pang need. There’s no need for enhanced community quarantine sa Visayas and Mindanao, pero tuloy-tuloy po ang pag-monitor natin dito,” Nograles said.
