Senator Sonny Angara was among the first of those public servants who admitted that he tested positive for COVID-19.

The senator then opted to self-isolate at home in order to prevent the spread of the infection.

Meanwhile, his wife took to Instagram to express pain and sadness at the kind of discrimination that the family felt when the news came out.

According to Tootsy, the last time that he was able to hold the hand of her husband was during an online family mass about two weeks ago.

In addition to the pain already felt by the family was the fact that she couldn't even take good care of her husband in the same way that he took care of her when she was sick.

Perhaps the saddest part of her post was that there were those who refused to deliver essential goods to their home when the news came out.

They also had a neighbor who wanted them out of the neighborhood.

Despite all this, Tootsy was thankful for the outpouring of love and support from friends and family, who helped them since their entire household was quarantined for 14 days.

She ended her post asking for prayers for her husband.
