Prince Charles now out of isolation a week after he tested positive for COVID-19

- The future king of England, Prince Charles, is now out of isolation after recovering from coronavirus disease

- The 72-year-old heir to the British throne spent seven days self-isolating in Scotland after testing positive for COVID-19 last week

- His wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, tested negative from COVID-19, however, remains in self-isolation until the end of the week as per the government’s guidelines

- Buckingham Palace earlier confirmed that Queen Elizabeth II is also “in good health”

Prince Charles has now recovered from the coronavirus disease and currently “in good health” a week after it was announced that he tested positive for COVID-19.

According to BBC News, the 72-year-old heir to the British throne spent seven days self-isolating in Scotland after testing positive and displaying mild symptoms.

“Clarence House has confirmed today that, having consulted with his doctor, the Prince of Wales is now out of self-isolation,” a spokesperson for the royal recently revealed.

The official also said that the Prince is now in good condition and “operating under the current standard government and medical restrictions”.

Prince Charles, who is known as the Duke of Rothesay in Scotland, spent his seven days of quarantine at his Birkhall home on the royal Balmoral estate, the BBC article said.

In an article by Cosmopolitan UK, Charles' wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall was also tested, but thankfully her result turned out negative. However, the 72-year-old Duchess remains in self-isolation until the end of the week, as per the government’s guidelines.

According to the British government guidelines, anyone with COVID-19 symptoms should self-isolate for seven days, while everyone living in their household should self-isolate for 14 days.

Meanwhile, following Prince Charles’ diagnosis of COVID-19 a week ago, Buckingham Palace confirmed that Queen Elizabeth II was “in good health”.
