- On March 28, the health department tallied 14 additional fatalities within the country
- The total number of patients who died of COVID-19 is now 68
- The majority of those who succumbed to the virus belonged to the “vulnerable sector”
The Department of Health (DOH) revealed through a statement that there are 14 COVID-infected patients who died today, March 28.
KAMI learned that based on the statistics released by the said department, there are already 68 fatalities in the Philippines due to the said disease.
DOH disclosed that the majority of those who succumbed to the virus today belonged to the vulnerable sector or the elderlies.
Most of the patients whose names were listed as fatalities are from Metro Manila.
Some of them also did not have travel history to other countries or places that have active cases of COVID-19.
In a previous article by KAMI, a biotechnology in the United States said that it already has antibodies to fight COVID-19.
As of this writing, there are already 1,075 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in the Philippines. On the brighter side, the number of recoveries also rose to 35.
