The Department of Health (DOH) announced to the public that the total number of people who are infected with the novel coronavirus is now 1,075.
KAMI learned that 272 new cases of the said virus were tallied today, March 28.
The said number of new cases is by far the highest spike recorded in the Philippines in just a single day.
Before March 28, the additional COVID-19 cases per day did not exceed 100.
Many people believe that the rise in the number of confirmed cases is caused by the fact that DOH is conducting more tests now since thousands of kits already arrived.
Meanwhile, 4 more patients have already recovered today, bringing the total number of recoveries to 35.
In a previous article by KAMI, a biotechnology firm in the United States revealed that it has antibodies to fight COVID-19.
The Philippines is one of the countries that is heavily affected by the novel coronavirus disease. The entire Luzon is already placed under enhanced community quarantine to prevent the spread of the said virus.
