The Department of Health (DOH) has tallied the Philippines’ highest number of new confirmed novel coronavirus cases in a single day so far.
KAMI learned that there are 96 additional cases of COVID-19 in the country on Friday, March 27.
The total number of infected patients is now 803, as per the latest update from the health department.
The same department also confirmed that it tallied 9 more deaths due to the said virus, bringing the total number of fatalities to 54.
Meanwhile, three patients who tested positive for the said disease have already recovered today. Statistics show that there are already 31 recoveries so far.
In a previous article by KAMI, Senator Sonny Angara recently admitted that he tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
The Philippines is one of the countries that are affected by the novel coronavirus pandemic. Some hospitals already reached their maximum capacity while others are calling for help in terms of protective equipment.
