Philippines went into a frenzy when news broke out that actor Christopher de Leon tested positive for COVID-19.

He was then confined to a hospital for isolation and for treatment, which, thankfully, was already over as the actor has been released from the hospital.

While everyone was in high spirits regarding the veteran actor's release, a news outfit's post caught the eye of Mariel de Leon, daughter of the actor.

It was a coronavirus-related statement regarding Christopher de Leon's wife, actress Sandy Andolong.

Mariel wasn't quite happy with the post of PhilStarShowbiz and took to social media to express her disappointment.

PhilStar reported, "Christopher de Leon released from hospital, Sandy Andolong tests negative for #COVID19..."

Mariel called out to them saying, "FAKE NEWS My mom hasn't 'tested negative.'" She added, "Y'all are a legit news outlet. You posted fake/unconfirmed news. Please do better."
