US surpasses China and Italy on COVID-19 cases

- The United States is facing a grim number as the country's coronavirus cases have surpassed those of Italy and China

- As of this writing, the US has a total of 85,594 cases, exceeding China's 81,340 and Italy's 80,589

- The total deaths in the US have already reached 1,300 and those who have recovered were 1,868

- The second highest is China and the next is Italy, but the latter's death rate has remained sober for the past days

The United States of America has overtaken China in terms of coronavirus infection cases.

As reported by Worldometers, the economic giant has reached 85,594 COVID-19 cases, exceeding China's 81,340 by roughy 4,000.

While the total number of deaths of China still remains higher at 3,292, the United States has already recorded 1,300 deaths.

The highest, however, when it comes to death from the virus, is Italy. As of this writing, the European country has a total of 8,215 deaths, while those who have recovered were 10,361.

As per Aljazeera, more than 120,000 have already recovered around the world.

The number of active infected cases, excluding those who have recovered and have died, is close to 400,000, with 364,000 considered as in mild condition.

Out of the active cases, an average of 19,000 is considered as critical.

NDTV reported that 40% of Americans are already under lockdown and President Donald Trump has also encouraged everyone to practice social distancing and to stay home.
