Grandfather in QC arrested for selling 'tint services' to buy food for family

- A grandfather in Banawe, Quezon City was recently arrested by policemen because he was violating the enhanced community quarantine guidelines

- The old man was trying to sell "tint services" so that he would be able to earn an income to buy food for his family

- The grandfather was made to sit for three hours at the covered court so that he will learn his lesson

- There were also 30 more men who were brought to the covered court by the policemen

Luzon is currently under an enhanced community quarantine, with certain barangays having been placed under extreme enhanced community quarantine.

Under the former quarantine, residents were prohibited to engage in economic activities, save those who are in the food sector.

One grandfather, Mang Arturo Lostreno, was arrested by policemen after he was caught while trying to sell tinting services in Banawe, Quezon City.

He, along with 30 more individuals, were brought to a covered court, and made to sit there for three hours, in order for them to "learn their lesson."

As per ABS-CBN's post, Mang Arturo knew that it was prohibited, however, he and his family no longer have any money to buy food to eat.

In a previous report by KAMI, the government faced problems when they imposed the initial community quarantine, which was elevated into the now ongoing enhanced community quarantine. It also suspended transportation causing massive problems with commuters.

The coronavirus outbreak started out in Wuhan, Hubei Province of China. Scientists believed that the virus came from an animal at one of Wuhan's wet markets. At present, the Philippines is under a state of calamity while the entire Luzon is under an enhanced community quarantine.
