The city government of Taguig regarded the possible rise in pregnancies during the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine by distributing contraceptives to its residents.

According to a report by Sunstar Philippines, the Taguig City Health Office handed out birth control pills, injectable pregnancy control medication, and condoms to help families prevent unwanted pregnancy.

"Syempre on family planning side ‘yung mga clients namin we regularly check na they have their supplies kasi ayaw naman natin na mag-boom ang mga buntis in two to three months time tapos ipagsisi pa sa COVID, kasi nagka-COVID hindi na sila makaalis ng bahay,” Doctor Norena Osano, head of Taguig City Health Office, said.

The local health officers also distributed vitamin supplements to children and some maintenance medicines to their patients as well.
