The De La Salle University, in partnership with the Divine Word Missionaries, through their Kalinga program, opened their doors to the homeless amid the ongoing enhanced community quarantine.

DLSU now serves as the temporary home to 61 homeless people in the area.

They are staying at the Razon Sports Center, and will be here until the lockdown would be lifted.

As seen in the photos shared by @DLSUManila, each of the homeless that they are sheltering have their own mats and are spaced a meter apart.

The picture showed that aside from giving shelter, they were also following the recommended social distancing.

Netizens applauded the institution for its noble efforts to provide a shield for the homeless in these times of crisis.

There were those who asked where they could donate stuff and there were also those who expressed that their own schools could become like DLSU too.
