Many people got concerned when it was confirmed by Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte that four COVID-19 patients in her city were sent home due to the lack of hospital beds and rooms.

KAMI learned that Alex Gonzaga and Pokwang were among those netizens who expressed their concern over the news.

According to Alex, this action might prolong the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon because it would facilitate the further spread of the virus.

“Nakakalungkot naman to watch an interview saying Covid patients are sent home because of lack of space sa facilities. We want this quarantine to end so people can get back on their feet na but with this kind of news from the authorities baka ma-prolong pa. Lord pls help us,” Alex tweeted.

As for Pokwang, she expressed concern for the people who will interact with the four patients, especially the children and the elderly.

“E bakit hindi po gamitin ang Araneta Coliseum para doon pansamantala gamutin ang mga nag positibo sa virus? kesa pauwiin kawawa naman ang family nila lalo na kung may bata or matatanda? wala naman gagamit non at wala naman mag Co concert sa panahon na ito,” the comedienne posted.
