COVID-19 frontliner's online post about their day-to-day ordeals goes viral

Gayle Padin Ching, a mother of two and a nurse working at Quirino Memorial Medical Center has recently shared a lengthy post about her and her husband's struggles as frontliners against COVID-19.

In her online post, KAMI learned that Gayle also included a message to the people regarding the quarantine.

According to her online post, Gayle shared that she fears not coming back home to her family due to the fight against COVID-19, "I have this fear of going to work and not being able to come back home to my family.

"Last night I broke down as I heard the news that our workplace would be under "facility quarantine" and it would be effective today (March 19, 2020) eh duty kami ng asawa ko today. Parehas pa kaming nurse."

Furthermore, she added that, "I am apparently torn between staying home with my kids and staying in the hospital to help.

"And also for them not to acquire anything I might get in the hospital. But it's really really hard for me. Napaka sakit at napakabigat sa loob na iwan ko muna ang mga anak ko sa bahay."

She ended her online post with a message for the people to stay at home because it helps the people working in the medical field as well, "Kaya kayo diyan ang swerte swerte niyo.

"Napakadali ng pinapagawa sa inyo. MAG STAY LANG KAYO SA BAHAY. Nakakatulong na kayo nun."

Her online post elicited various reactions and comments from netizens on social media.

"Salute to all the frontliners. Keep safe."
"Thank you and may God protect both of you. We will win this battle."
"I salute you both, fearless, dedicated and committed workers."
"Thanks so much for the dedication and compassion. We're so proud of you both."
