74-year-old widow found dead in Parañaque home amid ongoing community quarantine

Amidst the ongoing enhanced community quarantine in Luzon, a 74-year-old widow was found dead by authorities in her home in Parañaque City.

As per the report of GMA News Online, the widow was identified as Sonia Moral. Police suspect that the motive behind the killing of the old woman was a robbery.

KAMI learned that a neighbor of the old woman at Marcelo Green Village called the attention of the Southern Police District after they noticed that the victim was not responding to calls anymore.

When the police came, it was then that they discovered the old woman's body.

Upon investigation, they found that she had 30 stab wounds, although the weapon used by the suspects was not yet recovered.

ABS-CBN said that the suspects may have been observing the old lady for quite some time now. As per Inquirer, the police would also be interviewing witnesses.

They are still investigating the crime and they are checking security cameras in the area. They also said that the suspects seem to be "experienced criminals" and that the crime was not related to the ongoing quarantine.
