The Philippine Army has recently honored Corporal Winston Ragos after his remains arrived at the Army Mortuary.

It can be recalled that the corporal first made headlines after he was shot by a policeman at a checkpoint in Quezon City.

Following this news, KAMI learned that he was given military honors after he was brought at the Army Mortuary on Saturday, April 25, at 12:15 AM.

In the video, Winston's mother, Merlyn Ragos, could be seen wiping her tears away as she watched the army troops.

Furthermore, The Philippine Army also shared photos from the said ceremony on their Facebook page.

The Army said that Winston will be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

They also shared that the burial ceremony will be held on Sunday, April 26 at 12 noon.

Corporal Winston joined the Army back in March of 2010 and was eventually assigned to the 31st Infantry Battalion in Camarines Sur.

After suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder brought by war, the corporal was eventually discharged from military service in January 2017.

As reported earlier by KAMI, Winston Ragos was shot by a policeman at a checkpoint in Quezon City. A video footage showed how the evidence was handled by the policemen after Ragos was shot. His sling bag was not left on the ground but was picked up by one policeman and tossed inside the police vehicle.
