President Rodrigo Duterte is now being closely monitored for the novel coronavirus disease or COVID-19.
KAMI learned that the Philippines’ head of state got in contact with Health Secretary Francisco Duque III who decided to undergo self-quarantine.
The 63-year-old government official revealed that he recently met with one of the directors of the Department of Health (DOH) who tested positive for the said disease.
It is still not sure if he is also positive for COVID-19 but he disclosed that he got in contact with the President for several days.
Despite being monitored now, President Duterte will still continue to work and assess the situation of his constituents, as per Senator Bong Go.
“Trabaho pa din siya pero syempre, monitored siya ng doctor,” the Senator told ABS-CBN News.
