- The novel coronavirus continues to cause alarm among millions of Filipinos
- It has infected more than 200 people in the Philippines as of Wednesday, March 18
- However, the health department confirmed that the total number of recoveries is now 7
- The additional three recoveries from 4 yesterday were all Filipino citizens
The Department of Health (DOH) revealed on Wednesday that the number of coronavirus-infected patients who already recovered is now 7.
KAMI learned that there are 3 Filipinos who tested negative already, on top of the 4 reported recoveries on March 17.
One of those who recovered was a 34-year-old male from Quezon City. He was listed as PH13, with travel history to Australia.
A 24-year-old male from Makati City has also recovered from the disease. He was listed as PH25 and has a travel history to United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The said patients were both admitted at the Makati Medical Center on March 6 and 7, respectively. They tested positive for the novel coronavirus during that time.
Another patient who recovered was PH26, a gentleman from Camarines Sur. He was one of the repatriates from the Diamond Princess Cruise Ship.
As of this writing, a total of 7 patients have recovered already. Two of them were Chinese tourists while the rest are Filipinos.
The health department still advises the public to do a strict home quarantine to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
