University of Makati
University of Makati, popularly referred to as UMak is a local public university situated in Makati City. The university was founded as Makati Polytechnic College in 1972 under the Municipal Resolution. In 1992, it was elevated into the university level under the name Pamantasan ng Makati. In 2002, it was renamed University of Makati.
The institute comprises of 12 colleges, two centres and one school for undergraduate and graduates degrees. Senior high school students wear University of Makati uniform while the university students are at liberty of wearing anything as long as it is decent. University of Makati logo is an emblem in the uniforms.
How to get to University of Makati
One can get to the University of Makati from Manila in 6 different ways. They include ferry, bus, train, night bus, car or taxi.
The cheapest way is via bus, which costs around $1 and takes you 43 minutes to get to the institute. If you are looking for the fastest route, you should consider taking a taxi at between $4 and $5 for 11 minutes.

- Photocopy of Grade 9 report card (for graduating junior high school students)
- Photocopy of Grade 10 report card (for junior high completers)
- Photocopy of NSO/PSA Birth Certificate
- Photocopy of Voter's ID or Voter's Certificate (of Biological parent/s or sibling if the applicant is below 18years old.
