Angel Locsin slams overpricing sellers after being offered mask worth P1,500

Angel Locsin is known for being generous to those who are in need. She has always been among the first celebrities who would respond to calamities.

With the ongoing enhanced community quarantine, the 34-year-old celeb wanted to provide healthcare front liners additional face masks.

So she responded to foreign secretary Teddy Boy's tweet, who was also responding to another netizen regarding the proper use of a mask for government frontliners.

The actress expressed the difficulty experienced in securing masks, highlighting that these are usually taken by big companies or politicians.

In a Tweet, Angel slammed sellers who were overpricing masks that are meant to be given to frontliners.

She revealed that she received an offer for a mask priced at a whopping P1,500.

"Sa nagbebenta sa akin ng mask na nakalaan para sa mga frontliners natin for P1,500, MAKONSENSIYA HO KAYO"

Many of the actress' followers expressed their anger over the unscrupulous sellers. Others tried to provide information as to where they could source masks as well as alcohol.

In a previous report by KAMI, Malacañang gave a stern warning against sellers or businesses that would hoard masks and alcohol, including those that would be taking advantage of the situation and would sell the items at a much higher price.

The coronavirus outbreak started out in Wuhan, Hubei Province of China. Scientists believed that the virus came from an animal at one of Wuhan's wet markets. As of this writing, the virus' death toll all over the world has reached more than 6,000. Those who have recovered from the virus numbered to more 77,000.
