The first patient who tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in New Jersey shared his experience while still under quarantine.
KAMI learned that the patient advised the people to take the coronavirus seriously.
In a report by People (authored by Gabrielle Chung), James Cai, a 32-year-old physician’s assistant detailed what happened to him.
James said that he believed he contracted the virus after he caught a sneeze from somebody during the medical conference he attended.
As reported by Yahoo! News, James has been living healthy and he is a non-smoker as well. However, the coronavirus still spread quickly to his lungs.
“The virus is everything. Diarrhea, watery eyes, shortness of breath, chest pain, you name it,” he explained.
“It happened so quick,” he added.
Meanwhile, according to a report by the Daily Mail UK, James reminded the public to take the coronavirus seriously.
“A lot of people say it’s OK, don’t wear masks. I don’t believe that,” he said.
“People have to take coronavirus seriously… It’s very serious,” he added.
The Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) continues to spread globally. It has been reported that the disease caused over 4,000 deaths worldwide.
