Department of Health reports 4 more COVID-19 cases

- Four more cases of COVID-19 were reported by the Department of Heath on Sunday night

- They were tested on Saturday and the results were released the following day

- The four patients were admitted to private hospitals as per the Health Department

- Out of the ten confirmed cases in the country, 7 are confined, 2 have recovered, while 1 died from the dreaded coronavirus

The Health Department reported that four patients tested positive for the deadly COVID-19 on Sunday night. The results were released on Sunday after the patients were tested on Saturday.

A Taiwanese man had contact with another Taiwanese who visited the country and tested positive when he went back to Taiwan.

The 57-year-old Filipino also had no travel history but was said to have had contact with someone who was infected with the coronavirus.

A 32-year-old Filipino man who traveled to Japan in the past 14 days also tested positive. Symptoms showed up on March 8.

An American man who is 86 years old traveled to the US and South Korea was also infected.

According to the Department of Health, all four patients are admitted to private hospitals. They, however, did not specify the hospitals.

Out of the 10 confirmed cases in the Philippines, 7 are confined, 2 have recovered, while 1 died. The fatality was a Chinese tourist.

There are currently 107,936 confirmed cases and 3,665 deaths from Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) outbreak as of March 08, 2020
