Shaina Magdayao was asked about the film called "Servando Magdamag" where she worked with her ex-boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz. In a press conference for her upcoming 2020 Metro Manila Film Festival summer entry "Tagpuan", the actress opened up about how she felt working with John Lloyd.
KAMI learned from a report by PUSH that the actress clarified that it is John Lloyd's film and that she just agreed to do a cameo role.
According to her, she initially agreed to do the role because of Direk Lav who gave her the opportunity to attend so many international film festivals. Her way of giving back to the director is to support him and to always accept the roles offered to her.
Shaina said that at first it was only for Lav Diaz that she accepted the role but by the end of their shooting day, she is happy that she was also able to support John Lloyd whom she referred to as a friend.
John Lloyd Cruz and Shaina Magdayao broke up in 2012. They were not able to do a movie together in the past.
John Lloyd Cruz got initially introduced in the longtime running afternoon television show in ‘ABS-CBN,' titled ‘Tabing Ilog’ where he got partnered with Kaye Abad.
He became a huge star with massive, successful films and television series that brought honors and recognition to the actor naming him as one of the best actors of all time.
Shaina Magdayao started her showbiz career at a young age. She is the younger sister of the singer-actress Vina Morales.
In an earlier report by KAMI, Angelica Panganiban mentioned Shaina's name while doing a spoof with John Pratts.
