Kapuso actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith shared with Kami that having a Korean drama fan sister, Anne Curtis, is adding pressure to her to do well on her role in the Filipino adaptation of “Descendants of the Sun.”

When asked if her sister is giving her any tips to better portray her role as Lieutenant Moira Defensor, Jasmine said Anne’s advices make her feel pressured.

“I think mas pressure ‘yung nabigay niya sa akin more than tips, because nga for (her) love for Korean dramas,” Jasmine said in a video we showed on our KAMI HumanMeter YouTube channel.

In the GMA primetime series, Jasmine is playing the role of an army surgeon Captain Moira having love interest with Technical Sergeant Diego Ramos a.k.a. Wolf portrayed by Rocco Nacino.

Jasmine also mentioned that Anne messages her every time she posts on her Instagram stories snippets of some of the series’ iconic scenes.

“So everytime na nagshu-shoot kami ng iconic scene tapos nakapag-post ako ng snippet on my stories, lagi siyang nagcha-chat. Lagi niyang tinatanong, ‘okay ba ‘yan’, ‘maganda ba’,” she told Kami.

On the other hand, Jasmine considers the pressure she gets from sister Anne as a good type of pressure.

“But the pressure is good because for a Korean drama fan to want to know paano ang kinalabasan ng trabaho namin o ng pag-shoot ng adaptation, it means that they also want to see ‘yung finished product,” Jasmine stressed.

“So, I think as a representative ng Korean drama fans of the Philippines, she gives me the good type of pressure naman and I think we all feel that. From everyone from all the other Korean drama fans and the original fans of the series talaga,” she added.
