US President Trump donates his entire quarterly salary to help fight coronavirus

United States President Donald Trump has donated his entire quarterly salary to help fight the deadly Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19).

KAMI learned that Trump donated his $100,000 salary to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

As reported by the Daily Wire (authored by Ryan Saavedra), the US President’s son, Eric Trump, has shared on social media the check that his father donated to the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health.

“Since this will never get reported by the media, I wanted to share a copy of this check. @realDonaldTrump is once again donating his salary back to the United States Government,” he wrote on Twitter.

“This quarter, it will be donated to @HHSGov to confront, contain, and combat #Coronavirus,” he added.

According to Fox News (authored by Morgan Phillips), White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham also shared on Twitter that US President Trump vowed to protect the American people amid the coronavirus outbreak.

“President @realDonaldTrump made a commitment to donate his salary while in office,” she wrote.

“Honoring that promise and to further protect the American people, he is donating his 2019 Q4 salary to @HHSGov to support the efforts being undertaken to confront, contain, and combat #Coronavirus,” she added.

In a report by USA Today (authored by John Fritze and David Jackson), Trump has been donating his salary back to the government when he won the presidency. Previously, he gave his salary to HHS during his first year in the office.
