- According to the Department of Health (DOH), 10 Filipinos who were quarantined at the New Clark City tested negative for Corona Virus Disease

- However, four other patients are still waiting for their lab results to come out

- Meanwhile, eight of the 10 Pinoys were sent back to New Clark City Athlete’s Village to finish their quarantine

- 80 Filipino crew of the coronavirus-stricken cruise ship Diamond Princess tested positive for COVID-19

The Department of Health (DOH) has confirmed that the 10 Filipinos who were quarantined at the New Clark City tested negative for the deadly Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19).

KAMI learned that those Filipinos came from the coronavirus-stricken cruise ship, Diamond Princess.

In a report by CNN Philippines, Health Assistant Maria Rosario Vergiere said that 14 Pinoys from Diamond Princess showed flu-like symptoms including fever, cough, and sore throat.

"Among the 14 PUIs (patients under investigation), 10 tested negative for COVID-19 while 4 are with pending laboratory results. The PUIs are still admitted at the referral facility," Vergeire said.

Eight of the 10 Filipinos who tested negative were sent back to New Clark City Athlete’s Village to finish their quarantine.

As reported by Rappler, three additional Filipinos were placed under quarantine after showing coronavirus symptoms.

"Yes, 3 PUIs (persons under investigation) already sent nose and throat swabs testing at the RITM (Research Institute for Tropical Medicine)," Health Secretary Francisco Duque III.

According to Coconuts Manila, about 458 Filipinos were put under quarantine at New Clark City. 440 of those were crew members of Diamond Princess, 13 repatriation team members, and 5 tourists.

Meanwhile, only 80 Filipino crew members of the cruise ship tested positive for the novel coronavirus that first started in Wuhan, China.

The DOH has confirmed 3 cases of COVID-19 in the country. However, one passed away and the two others have recovered and went back to China.
