Former opposition Senator Antonio “Sonny” Trillanes has returned to the Philippines to face the sedition case filed against him and several others.
KAMI learned that from the airport, Trillanes proceeded to a court in Quezon City to post bail.
In a report by the Inquirer (authored by Maila Ager), Trillanes arrived at the airport on Tuesday morning.
Trillanes said that he would be facing the case just like the previous cases filed against him by the allies of President Rodrigo Duterte.
“I will face this case just as I have faced all the other harassment cases Duterte’s minions have filed against me,” Trillanes said.
In a previous report by KAMI, the Quezon City Metropolitan Trial Court-Branch 138 has issued a warrant of arrest against Trillanes and 9 more others.
The former senator has been facing a sedition case for allegedly being behind the “Bikoy” videos that linked the family of President Rodrigo Duterte to the illegal drug trade.
