Several prominent personalities from the Kapuso network have expressed their support to ABS-CBN over the heavy issue that it is facing now.
KAMI learned that the said network is facing a possible closure since the renewal of its license to operate is still pending in Congress.
More than one month before the expiration of ABS-CBN license, Solicitor General Jose Calida filed a quo warranto petition that seeks to forfeit the network’s existing franchise.
The move has since become one of the most talked-about topics on social media and many people aired their disagreement about it.
Even GMA-7 stars have decided to express their support to the rival network over the threat that it will not be given license to operate starting April this year.
Dingdong Dantes already posted a heart-stirring message on social media that explained why he is saying “no” to possible ABS-CBN closure.
"Magkaiba man ng bakod, we are one in the media industry. We have one love for the many talents and crafts under this network, the products and output of which, directly or indirectly, benefit the lives of millions of Filipinos," he wrote.
Award-winning actress Eugene Domingo also uploaded a photo of the Kapamilya network and she quipped that she has been praying for the renewal of its franchise.
“In the end, we are all family. I pray with you,” she stated.
Other Kapuso celebrities who showed support to the rival network were Aiko Melendez, Paolo Valenciano, and broadcast-journalist JP Soriano.
The “Prima Donnas” cast member mentioned that her former network contributed a lot to her success and she pointed out that they are just under one industry.
