Robin Padilla took to social media to express his thoughts on the possible closure of ABS-CBN due to their franchise issues.
In a now-deleted Facebook post, Robin said that no one is above or below the law and that justice should always prevail.
“No man is above the law and no man is below it.
Anong klase na tayong tao at lahi,” Robin posted on social media.
After deleting that post, he posted again on Facebook to answer the netizens who bashed him for supposedly being negative towards ABS-CBN.
He clarified that anyone who breaks the law must pay for it even if that person is close and dear to him.
Robin added that fans of ABS-CBN have nothing to fear since they will not face any sanctions if the network really has not broken any law.
As for deleting his previous post, Robin explained that he did that to respect his wife Mariel Padilla.
“God is great!!!
Ako ay may tiwala sa BATAS dahil naranasan ko ang talim at lambing ng BATAS sa buhay ko kaya ko sinasabi na dapat umiral ang BATAS dahil ang batas ang proteksyon ng lahat ng Pilipino mayaman man o mahirap no one is above the law and under it kaya kung wala silang kasalanan it will be their glory and pride so let them fight it in our courts
Peace be with you all may the wisdom and blessings of our only God be with those who are neglected weak and poor in shaa Allah,” Robin posted on Facebook.

President Rodrigo Duterte has repeatedly expressed his desire to shut down ABS-CBN during his speeches. Recently, Solicitor General Jose Calida filed a quo warranto petition at the Supreme Court to cancel the network’s franchise.
