The Department of Health has confirmed that the coronavirus has arrived in the Philippines.

KAMI learned that several celebrities took to social media to share their reaction to the unpleasant news.

The celebrities include Solenn Heussaff, Bianca Gonzalez, Lovi Poe, Luis Manzano, and Atom Araullo.

Some of them slammed the government for not taking preventive action while some of them gave tips on how to avoid getting infected.

Solenn Heussaff: “Why is our government still allowing flights in from China?? That should have been the first action when news about this virus came out.”

And di bale nang exag, OA o praning. Wash your hands or clean hands with alcohol as often as you can. WASHING HANDS SAVES LIVES.”

Lovi Poe: “It’s always better to prevent something from happening rather than dealing with it later on. Foresight.”

Atom Araullo: “Now that we have a confirmed case of NCoV in the Philippines, some quick reminders: 1. Don’t panic. 2. Wash your hands frequently. 3. Facemasks will help. 4. Get enough rest to boost your immune system. 5. Stay up to date through credible sources.”
