Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Francisco Duque III has given a live demonstration on how to properly wear a mask.
KAMI learned that the health agency urges people to wear masks to prevent having any viruses or infections.
In a video posted by the Manila Bulletin on Facebook, the health secretary gave clear instructions.
He said that the vents on the mask should be facing downwards. The next step would be placing the mask in front of your face and anchoring the lace around your ears.
Once the mask is placed on your face, stretch it down and press the metal to anchor it on the nose.
Meanwhile, the DOH has released an advisory and said that there is no confirmed case of a novel coronavirus in the Philippines.
The health agency also urged the public to refrain from spreading false information about the coronavirus.
“DOH urges the public to refrain from spreading unverified information and only source updates from the Department’s Official Channels and Social Media accounts,” it read.
