Kobe Bryant died at the age of 41 along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant due to a helicopter crash in California.
KAMI learned that Kobe was interviewed before about his helicopter on the popular ABS talk show “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
The viral interview, which took place in January 2018, shows Jimmy asking Kobe if he still uses his helicopter even after retiring from the NBA.
The athlete answered in the affirmative, saying that he needs his “Mamba Chopper” when in Los Angeles. In other interviews, Kobe said he rents the helicopter regularly because he cannot stand the heavy traffic in Los Angeles.
Kimmel: “I remember you used to fly your helicopter from your home to the Staples Center.”
Bryant: “I still fly it now down there.”
Kimmel: "Are you still flying it by yourself now?"
Bryant: “Dude, no. I barely trust myself behind the wheels of the car let alone a helicopter. But that’s as Hollywood as I get though. I’m not coming to LA if I don’t have my Mamba Chopper.”
As reported earlier by KAMI, Kobe’s 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant also died in the helicopter crash.
Kobe Bryant is considered the greatest Los Angeles Lakers player of all time and one of the greatest basketball players in history. He won five NBA Championships, two NBA Finals MVPs, and one NBA Regular Season MVP.
