Several celebrities unhesitatingly spoke up about mental health and suicide after Jobert Sucaldito made controversial remarks against Nadine Lustre.
Most of these famous personalities firmly expressed that suicide and mental issues are sensitive matters.
Bianca Gonzales tweeted about it and wrote, "Making light of suicide and mental illness is not funny and should not be tolerated."
While Frankie Pangilinan also shared her thoughts regarding the issue via Twitter.
"i wasn't going to say anything because this is a lil triggering but hey suicide is as serious as it gets and anyone who makes a joke of it or treats it lightly should really reevaluate themselves," she wrote.
"it seriously saddens my heart more than anything. don’t ever minimize a person’s worth. don’t minimize your own, and don’t you dare minimize someone else’s - you have no right," she added.
Karen Davila, a Kapamilya news anchor, even recalled her past interview with Nadine.
"I interviewed Nadine Lustre on #ANCHeadstart last year. She was brave enough to share about her period of depression & the crisis she went through. She is a smart, deep & passionate person. Jokes about mental health aren’t funny & should not be tolerated. #MentalHealthAwareness," she stated.
