Yeng Constantino's reaction after learning that she has won an acting award elicited various responses from the netizens. She bagged the best-supporting actress for her role in "Write About Love," in which she played the girl in the imagined love story the lead characters were writing.

The singer thanked everyone who supported their movie.

She wrote, 'Maraming salamat po sa bumubuo ng #MMFF2019 at sa lahat po ng sumuporta sa pelikula namin Write About Love. Karangalan po ang makapasok sa #MMFF at makapaghandog ng pelikula sainyo. Maraming maraming salamat po! pauwi na po ng Manila na puno nh galak ang puso! Muli maraming salamat po!"

Constantino bested Meryll Soriano ("Culion") and Krystal Brimner ("Sunod"), who were also nominated as best supporting actress.

Meanwhile, some celebrities, including Gary Valenciano, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Jong Hilario, Vhong Navarro, Vice Ganda, Christian Bautista, and Chie Filomeno congratulated her.

Yeng previously said she hoped she would win an award for her role.

"Hindi naman ako magde-deny na dini-desire ko. Maganda 'yon sa portfolio ko kumbaga bilang isang artist. "Hindi lang bilang mang-aawit pero sa pag-grow ko as an artist sa ibang larangan. So hopefully."

Yeng Constantino is a Filipina pop diva singer-songwriter, occasional actress, and host. In 2006, she won the title "Grand Star Dreamer" in the inaugural season of Pinoy Dream Academy, the Philippine edition of Endemol's reality TV show Star Academy.
