An 8-year-old girl wrote a heartfelt letter to the drunk man who almost “killed” her mother in a vehicular accident.
KAMI learned that Isabelle Elce’s mother, Amelia, has been suffering from physical injuries and trauma after she experienced a car crash last September 21, 2019.
In a Facebook post by the Nottinghamshire Police, the incident made a huge impact on their whole family.
Isabelle was so frustrated with the drunk driver who was responsible for the accident so she decided to write him a letter.
This is what she said in the letter:
“To the man who drank alcohol on that night. You nearly killed my mummy! She had to go to hospital with blood pouring out of her head and I nearly didn't have a mummy anymore. So please don't ever do that again. Thank you from Isabelle."
Amelia shared that she was surprised when she read the letter of Isabelle. She also said that she was so proud of her daughter.
"When she presented her letter to us we were all so shocked. She asked if we could send it to the driver but we told her that even if it didn't reach him, if one person saw and read her letter on Facebook it might make them think twice about drinking and driving,” Amelia said.
"She's so loving and we're all so proud of her. I'd also like to thank all of my family and friends for the support they've given me since the crash.
"I just hope that Niedziela realises the massive impact his actions have had on me and my family and that by sharing my story it makes people think twice about getting behind the wheel after having a drink,” she added.
Isabelle’s letter just shows how everyone should think twice before driving when drunk.
Meanwhile, the netizens were touched by Isabelle’s message. Here are some of their comments on Facebook:
