Angel Locsin becomes new Anti-Piracy Ambassador of the Optical Media Board

Angel Locsin has been known for her admirable charity works. And now, she supports another cause - the fight against piracy.

KAMI learned that the Optical Media Board (OMB) handpicked the General's Daughter star to be its new Anti-Piracy Ambassador.

Together with OMB Chairman Atty. Anselmo Adriano and Executive Director Atty. Victor Padilla, Angel signed the contract on Friday, December 20.

She succeeded Piolo Pascual, who was last year's ambassador.

The Optical Media Board is a government agency that regulates the production, use, and distribution of recorded media in the Philippines.

Consuming pirated content has been a huge problem in the country for a long time. It greatly affects the livelihood of those who are in the entertainment industry. With this, the agency has been appointing celebrities to help them spread awareness.
