Love is ageless! Recently, a couple was recognized as the “world’s oldest living couple.”
KAMI learned that a couple in Texas has recently celebrated their 80th wedding anniversary.
According to CNN, John Henderson is now 106 years old, while his wife, Charlotte, is 105 years old.
To celebrate the milestone of their relationship. John picked up Charlotte in a 1920s roadster and brought her a bouquet of flowers, just like what they did during their first date.
The two met in a class at The University of Texas in 1934. In 1939, they got married, it was just two months after World War II began.
In a report by the Daily Mail UK, the couple have no children and that factor could have played a part in their long-lasting marriage and longevity.
Their nephew, Jason Free, has helped them to be officially recognized by the Guinness World Records as the “world’s oldest living couple.”
“They are a wonderful couple, and an example of a very happy couple - glad to be around each other, travel together, and live life,” Jason said.
John also gave his secret for having a long life and being happy with his wife.
“Live life in moderation and be cordial to your spouse,” he said.
