After a series of controversies about him, Gerald Anderson is now the new Philippine Youth Ambassador of Goodwill.

KAMI learned from an Instagram post by Star Magic that the actor was appointed by the Philippine Youth-KASAMA on Monday, December 9.

"Congratulations Gerald!"

"Gerald Anderson has been appointed as the Philippine Youth Ambassador of Goodwill by the Philippine Youth-KASAMA."

"The delegation was attended by almost 900 Sangguniang Kabataan all over the Philippines."

According to Gerald, he is extremely happy and proud to have another platform to help and reach more people.

The Star Magic artists succeeded Dingdong Dantes who was last year's ambassador.
