US President Donald Trump has cut his trip short after a video of other world leaders supposedly “mocking” him went viral on social media.
KAMI learned that the US President posted on Twitter that he would be leaving the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Summit earlier than expected.
“When today’s meetings are over, I will be heading back to Washington,” he wrote on Twitter.
We won’t be doing a press conference at the close of NATO because we did so many over the past two days. Safe travels to all!” Trump added.
The announcement of Trump leaving early came following a video of other leaders supposedly “mocking” the US President for his “lengthy” impromptu speech at a press conference, according to Business Insider.
In the video posted by Power & Politics on Twitter, world leaders UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and French President Emmanuel Macron seem to be talking about a “40-minute press conference.” However, they did not mention the name of Trump.
"He was late because he takes a 40-minute press conference off the top," Trudeau said.
"You just watched his team's jaws drop to the floor," he added.
It has been reported that Trump had three impromptu press conferences that lasted about two hours all in all.
Donald John Trump is a businessman and TV personality before he became the 45th and current President of the United States in 2017.
