Richard Gutierrez revealed that he almost left his career and start a new life abroad.
KAMI learned in an episode of Tonight with Boy Abunda that the Unbreakable star honestly admitted that there was a time he almost decided to leave showbiz and live in a different country just like what his father, veteran actor Eddie Gutierrez, did.
"I was about to live in a different country. Nagplano na ako to live in a different country, start a new life. You know, just like my dad. My dad did that. My dad walked away and started a different life."
"I asked myself, maybe I could do the same," he said.
Richard then explained that what stopped him from completely quitting showbiz was when he realized that his passion and destiny is here in the Philippines.
"'Yung destiny ko talaga is to be here right now."
"Oppurtunities came, I grabbed it then sunod-sunod na."
