KAMI learned that there are tips you can do to avoid too much online shopping.
In a report by ABS-CBN News, financial literacy advocate Armand Bengco has given a major tip on how to avoid online shopping.
For Bengco, the best way to refrain from online shopping is to avoid it.
"Kung iyong tao na nalululong na sa regular shopping sa mga malalaking mall, umiwas ka sa mall... pinakamagandang pag-iwas diyan, avoid being online," he said in DZMM’s program “Sakto.”
"Maski nag-aaral ka online o nakikipag-communicate, pag-close mo ng SMS message mo, lalabas 'yong advertisement noong online shopping mall," he added.
Bengco also explained the effects of algorithms or artificial intelligence on consumers.
"Kapag ikaw minsan nag-search ng [kunyari] motorsiklo, lahat na ng tungkol sa motorsiklo, ipapaalam sa'yo. Ino-notify ka kahit hindi mo hinahanap," he said.
